Holiday cottages near Linlithgow

Planning Consent now obtained for 4 new Holiday Cottages at Williamscraig, near Linlithgow.  This development will add to 3 recently developed cottages which are already proving a success, and which have achieved a "4 star" rating with VisitScotland.
Set in rural West Lothian the layout plans are unequivocally holiday oriented with outdoor living space.

Features of this development are...
  • The provision of flexible units which can provide either 4 bedroom accommodation or 2 no 2 bedroom units.
  • the proposed use of the Zeigel honeycomb clay block system supplied by Natural Building Technologies
  • A ground mounted Photo-voltaic array will provide sustainable power.

First Blog

I'd like to start with a salutation to Tom Dyckhoff for an excellent Channel TV programme "The Secret Life of Buildings" focussing on the design of houses and how it will effect the Occupants. I recommend you seek this out and watch it.
I'd like to emphasise that you as a potential Client should take time to consider the design of your project. Look at alternatives and don't just go for the cheap sketch, quick application and early start on site.
"The Beginning" is the cheapest point in the process to make changes, so try and explore every option at that stage. You will need to wait for Planners and Building Control anyway so use the time profitably and wisely.  That way your Building or Extension should meet your needs and more.
